At just 21 years old, Chipi is a 30-time award-winning barber based in Bakersfield, CA. Known for his skillful and creative designs, he has quickly established himself as one of the top barbers in the industry. Despite his young age, Chipi has earned multiple accolades and now serves as a judge for barbering competitions, sharing his expertise with others and shaping the future of the craft. His talent and dedication continue to set him apart in the barbering community.
Where It All Started
My journey into barbering started back in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic. What began as a side hustle quickly turned into a true passion. Growing up surrounded by my family's deep roots in the beauty industry, I realized I had a natural talent for it. I went from doing basic garage haircuts to building a professional presence. My dedication to the craft keeps me striving to stand out in the barbering community every day💈🔥
The Grind
As my client list grew, so did my passion and skills. I worked my way into different barbershops, constantly refining my craft and gaining more confidence with each fade. Always hungry to learn and improve, I bounced between shops, soaking up knowledge and building my name in the process. But success didn’t come easy—I put in thousands of hours behind the chair, working seven days a week, often pushing past 8-hour shifts just to perfect my craft and keep my clients looking fresh. My dedication didn’t stop there. I took my skills to the next level by entering barbering competitions, where I tested myself against the best in the game. These competitions helped me sharpen my techniques and earned me recognition and respect within the barbering community. Now, I’m taking it even further by building my own brand, www.ChipiMade.com, with the goal of leaving a legacy that lasts.
Kickoff to the takeover!
Five years in, my relentless dedication to the craft paid off in a big way. I took home the prestigious title of Student Barber of the Year and earned recognition with an award from www.BarberBillboards.com. But that’s just the beginning—I've dominated over 30 barber battles and competitions, with each win pushing me to elevate my skills even more. Through every challenge, I’ve learned, refined my technique, and sharpened my eye for detail. Along the way, I’ve built a loyal and growing clientele, earning their trust with every fresh fade. My passion and commitment have helped me level up in the industry, and today, I’m not just a barber—I’m a true force to be reckoned with in the beauty and grooming world.
